Is there fuzzy stuff growing on your wall?

How mold grows.

Mold grows in homes when conditions are suitable for its growth. Mold requires three things to thrive: moisture, organic matter (such as wood, paper, or cotton), and warm temperatures. When these conditions are present, mold spores can grow and spread rapidly.

Typical areas we find mold.

Common sources of moisture in homes include leaks from pipes or roofs, condensation on windows or walls, and high humidity levels. Mold can also grow in damp areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, and basements. Poor ventilation can also contribute to mold growth by trapping moisture indoors.

How we can test for mold.

We can take air quality or swab samples to determine the type, and quantity of spores in the home. All samples are sent to a Laboratory, which provides a detail report of findings.
